I have 4 michelin cross terrain tires p265/70r17. They are under warranty with plenty of tread but the side walls (not near tread) of all four tires have deep long cracks (up to 8 inches in length) i noticed this sept. 2010 and the dealer isn't very helpful and just wants to charge me money for new tires. I believe this is a huge safety hazard and they should be recalled! *kb

The inner side wall failed. The contact called the manufacturer but was told that the tire was not included in any recalls. The tire mileage was unavailable. Dt: on july 11, 2005 the consumer's rear tire blew out. A part of the sidewall and a part of the tire tread come off, about 2 inches long on the side and about 1 inch in the tread.
