Tl*the contact owns a 2002 chevrolet tahoe. The steering column rattles when driving various speeds over a bump. The dealer greased and injected the column with a special grease at the cost of $100; however, the failure was not corrected. When making sharp turns to the left or right, the steering fails. The current mileage was 97,000 and failure mileage was 30,000.

I have a bumping noise in my steering column. I have a 2002 chevrolet tahoe with around 70,000 miles. The noise was evident when i purchased the vehicle with 12,000 miles. I do not know if it is a safety problem they are not any recalls listed. I have 3 friends with the same issue with the similar vehicle. *nm
