My vehicles abs light just came on for no reason and it takes longer to come to a complete stop when pressing on the brakes. Also, after turning the vehicle off, it sounds like something under the hood is still running and the battery is drained. *tr

I walked into my garage at night to see it filled with smoke, plastic smelling and coming from underneath when i looked under the 2002 tahoe i saw a red glowing ball and a lot of smoke coming from abs box by the fuel filter. I backed it out of the garage and far away from my house when i stopped and looked under and there was a burned black smuge box . Is there a recall on this tahoe? *tr

Abs pump motor is staying on continuously after the vehicle is turned off. After researching online, found that an internal relay in the electronic brake control module is shorting and causing the abs pump motor to continue to run while operated and even after vehicle and ignition is turned off. Without disconnecting plug to motor or abs fuse, either failure of abs pump motor will occur, failure of ebcm will occur…

2008 chevrolet tahoe @ 19,000 miles. Back brakes grinding while driving to pennsylvania. There was no warning it happened all of a sudden. We brought it to the chevy dealer and they gave us a print out of all these issues on the brakes and got charged $917.00 later. Can't understand how back brakes went before front brakes and they gave us a story. *tr

This is a complaint about the abs. I have had them cleaned , which worked a short time, but now everytime i apply the brakes the abs tries to take over, lengthening my stopping distance. I do not feel safe using these brakes and would like to know how to disconnect them. These sensors may work fine in a controlled environment, but out in the real world of snow and salt , the life span is too short. *tr

I own a 2003 chevrolet tahoe z71 and recently experienced some problems with the abs. When slowing down, below 10mph, the abs kicks in randomly. This happens on clean, dry pavement. This is a frightening thing to happen to someone, especially someone who is driving around two small children. I did some online research and noticed this seems to be a common problem. I also noticed there was a recall for older vehicles…

I have a 2002 chevy tahoe with a brake issue that i have been reading up on. The abs brakes are applying for no reason at low speeds each time i apply my brake. I called my dealer and gm direct and they said they would not cover it in a recall. I have done quit a bit of research and have read alot about the problem and how dangerous this is and i feel as though they should take care of it 100%. It is now to the…
