The dash on my garage kept tahoe is cracking and falling apart. I can only imagine what damage could be done if in a wreck and the sharp pieces are flying in our faces. The first crack by the airbag happened while i was driving on the highway..i heard a loud pop and it scared me to death. The second crack above the instrument panel also happened while driving but not as loud.

While driving on interstate i10 sept 2015, noticed a small crack developed on dash over the instrument cluster hump. Initial crack was approximately 3" and has continued to crack and extend toward the driver position. Dash crack is now 7". I have two cracks in the dashboard that makes the dashboard flop, and i'm worried it may affect the airbags. I am the original owner, the truck has never been in a wreck, never place any items on the dash, and i use a visor to protect the dash during work, and the truck is garaged when i'm at home. The dealer said it will cost approx. $1,000 to replace! Why would i replace a defective dash? This should be a recall!
