If the airbags deploy due to a crash, there will be multiple pieces of the dashboard broken that could inhibit the deployment of the airbags or cause plastic pieces to impale a passenger. I purchased brand new chevrolet tahoe in 2010, the vehicle has less than 75,000 miles and has developed a crack in the dashboard. This vehicle has been taken care of since purchase, so very upset that the dashboard has cracked. It started cracking a year after having warranty work done ( dash had to be removed to replace onstar system).

Given that i have seen thousands of people with the same issue, this should be considered a defect and a recall should be issued.
