Takata inflators: in july, 2016, chevrolet's global vehicle safety vice president notified me of the recall, saying i would be notified "when there are parts available." that was over a year ago. When i called my local dealer to inquire whether they had received the parts, they responded in the negative, and could not tell me when they might be available. I want the problem corrected now.

Takata recall i was notified in july 2016 by gm that my vehicle is on a recall list for defective takata air bags. Gm has had sufficient time to provide available parts to remedy my vehicle. However, my gm dealer says the parts are still not available. I live in alabama, a hot-weather state with very high humidity and need the air bags in my vehicle replaced as soon as possible.

Takata recall - i would prefer to have my passenger air bag disabled until repair parts are available because i have survived frontal collision with seat belt use but i don't think my odds are as good with shrapnel flying at my head at 200 mph from a defective takata inflator.
