Approx. 6 months ago i was driving when a vehicle entered the intersection in front of me. I stepped on the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. Luckily there was no crash but my vehicle just barely came to a stop. Towed the vehicle to a dealership and found all the brake lines were rusted out and needed to be replaced. On 3/28/14 i began noticing strong gas fumes coming from my vehicle. I again took it it in and…

I own a 2005 chevy tahoe i bought new. Last year in 2012 the fuel lines coming out of the fuel pump rotted out and i had to replace the whole pump. Early this year (2013) the transmission lines rotted out and all had to be replaced, in september this year (2013) the brake lines rotted out and had to be replaced. Lucky for me i was just leaving my driveway. I am very disappointed with this gm vehicle. I don't know if…

The 2009 tahoe fuel module control board assembly exhibited faulty adhesive and allowed water to enter and create one or more shorts in the fuel module. This prompted a check engine light. The vehicle was taken to a chevrolet dealership (buckalew chevrolet, conroe, tx). After checking the vin, the dealership stated that no active recalls were found and that the fuel module had been exposed to too much water. I was…

While driving on a four lane divided roadway at 40 mph, i noticed that the truck did not accelerate when i depressed the accelerator pedal and appeared to be losing speed. I was less than 1 mile from my home and decided to turn around and return. I had 6 children ages 4-20 in the car traveling to a thanksgiving day football game. When i came to the next light about 200 yards from when i noticed the problem and began…

The fuel gauge was reading 1/4 tank and suddenly the gauge went to empty and the driving distant went blank. After a short time the gauge read 3/4 tank, then went off again, then reset itself to 1/2 tank. This has happened quite frequently since then. It only happens once the fuel level gets less than 3/8 of a tank. *tr
